| Anglesey 11th MayRound 3 and 4 - 125 ICC and 125 Open BSA Championship Round 1 and 2 - Gearbox Masters 125 ICC
Well it was a long journey and for what!! Well for those that went they were delighted with the circuit and facilities. I chatted to Ben Willshire who is actually a FIA / CIK / FIM circuit designer and he gave a quick analysis of the design. Fast straights, Fast and slow corners with good overtaking points plus areas where drives will be drawn it to making mistakes in the technical areas. Good Fun. Some drivers doing well over 700 miles round trip for a good weekend. Would be OK except for Mr Brown's tax!!!
Testing - Saturday 10th May.Most drivers went out in at least one of the sessions. The response was the circuit could be quite abrasive on tyres if the temperature kept rising. This was also the same issue for the bikes from the New Era Club. Some drivers reported under steer on the slow corners. This could of been due to the camber of the track or the surface.
Timed Practice SundaySam Moss topped the 250's with Keith Tuckly and Matt Duncan close behind. The 125 opens were lead by James Irvine. The Irishman was flying along with Richard Ward. Both were ahead of several 250's. Michael Groves headed the 125 ICC group with Danny Butler close behind. Alex Von Ehrheim who would normally be at the front of 125 Opens was suffering from problems with is TM engine all afternoon Paul Platt (4th) was unusually not topping the 125 Open times again with a TM. Would this be a sign for the weekend. Lee Morgan was 3rd in the opens with a read valve SGM engine.
