Jason Dredge topped the timing sheets with a 0.5 second gap to James O’Reilly at the fast sweeping Castle Combe circuit.
Race one started with Jason Dredge on pole. With O'Reilly in P2. The went to Green and the pack headed to Avon Rise and Quarry. It was Paul Platt in to the quick right hander. The express train had departed and was on route to the Esses and Old Paddock. Platt held the lead and by the time they came in to via at Tower had a few lengths gap. It was O'Reilly in 2nd followed by Moos and Dredge in 4th. Catherine Foster had been relegated to the back of the pack due to oiling up. This was a disappointment as the lady driver from Cowdenbeath had qualified well. By lap 3 she had managed to get the outfit back up to speed and was fighting back. Dan Clarke was taking advantage of the front 4 having a scrap and was catching the pack with 4 laps to go. O'Reilly suffered problems with is brakes going in to Quarry resulting in an off and a underwear change. With O' Reilly out Platt had only Dredge and Moss to worry about. Dredge was in attacking mode and in to the Bobby's he made his move. Platt shut the door and Dredge lost around 5 kart lengths. Over the line it was Platt, Dredge, Moss, Dan Clark and his uncle Malcolm in 5th. Catherine Foster managed to get back up to 13th by the flag. “ It was frustrating to oil up but the fight back was fun”

Paul Platt managed to get the jump in race two and was leading until a coming together between Louis Wall and Malcolm Clarke on lap 3 brought out the red flag in race 2. Both driver attended the medical centre and were later given the OK. The restart was a single file affair on the previous laps standing. Dredge lead them away with Platt in second. O’Reilly’s back luck came back to haunt him and pulled of due to lack of drive. Platt managed to get passed Dredge going in to Quarry on lap 2. The front two drivers then pulled a gap of around 10 kart lengths clear of the chasing pack lead by Dan Clark who had managed to get passed Moss. Dredge and Platt gave the crowd a display of driving that was second to none. Dredge played the waiting game and on the last lap he dived down the inside at Tower. He just managed to keep the lead to the flag. On the slow down lap the drivers were treated to a standing ovation by the massive crowed who had been treated to the best race of the day.
