Stars of the Darley
4th October at Darley Moor

There was no practice times issued as they had a big power
cut because water got into the fuse board and blew it so the site had no power
for a while.
The last race went out just before the curfew at
6pm and on lap three Charlie Johnson had a big accident which stopped the
race and by the time they had sorted it time was up so the result was called on
lap two.
The funny thing was that Charlie hit a tyre wall and was
thrown out of the kart but landed on a Marshall that broke his fall. Both were
shaken but not stirred and OK.
Its not often you get caught by a Marshall as you fall to
earth. Brings a whole new meaning to "flying machine"
Jason Dredge won the 250`S and Danny Edwards the 125`s
Once again Gavin was quick but not really on song
with Jason. The weather was quite awful at first but then got out and was really
quite nice later. There was lots of racing going on down the field although it
was well stretched out and the difference between the front runners and the club
guys was huge all enjoyed themselves and it went off well.
There were lots of red flags in the bikes so that's why we
wound up chasing time.
